Hiring of a Town Clerk

Alderman Cheap motions to mover into a closed session. Seconded by Alderman Hunt. Motion carries 5-0

Other Business

Closed Session: pursuant to GS 143-318.11(a) (6) Conditions of Employment for the Public Office.

Mayor Tichy presents to the board the asking salary. Standard vacation days. Mayor Tichy informs the board Mrs. Quigley has no issue with working Fridays or being the only one in the office on Fridays. Mayor Tichy explains the budget breakdown for wages, we are under budget this year due to the empty position for the last 2 months. Alderman Cheap motioned to return to the public session. Seconded by Alderman Hunt. Motion carries 5-0

The offer is a $40,000 salary, standard benefits, a 6-month probation period, and a formal review after the probationary period. The offer was accepted.

Alderman Hunt made a motion to adjourn, seconded by alderman Andrews. Motion carries 5-0.
