OLD BUSINESS
Engineer Report
- Annexation/Water-Sewer Request from citizens on Dogwood Lane
Mr. Reich stated he didn’t have any new information on the annexation. Clerk York stated he did not have any additional information either.
Mr. Reich stated he had spoken with engineering firm who is working on phase 5C in Heritage Glen. They want to modify the sewer permit and they want to do a new water permit due to line size changes. Once the permits are issued and modified the work should begin.
Mr. Reich stated he had not heard anything from Diamond Back about the subdivision they are proposing.
ORC Report
Mr. Allred stated that the Pond, Birch and NC 62 station are working well. He has no news on the spare pump. The distribution and bacteria testing for July was fine, no news on August test results yet. Mr. Allred stated if anyone noticed problems with their water to contact Ben and he would flush the problem area.
NEW BUSINESS
Finance Report/Budget Amendment
Clerk York stated he would like to move some of the money from the Capitol Management Trust to the Wells Fargo account because it isn’t earning much interest. The fees at Wells Fargo are going up some and moving some of the money there will offset the fees.
Mayor Tichy asked about the sales tax collection. Clerk York stated it was good, there was $25,000 this month. The sales tax checks are three months behind, so that would have been the May collection. The collections are not showing any drop offs, at this point.
OTHER BUSINESS
Mayor Tichy stated the new computers have been installed. There is one on Mrs. Folwell’s desk, the conference room and Clerk York’s desk. There were some minor issues getting all the computers up and running. The main issue is with QS1 receiving/ processing online payments. Clerk York stated he can still access the online payments, but they haveto be manually entered.
The issue with QS1 will continue to be worked on.
