Village of Alamance Now Offers TextMyGov for Faster, Easier Communication
ALAMANCE, N.C. – The Village of Alamance is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a convenient text messaging service designed to keep residents informed and connected. This new communication tool allows residents to receive important updates and quickly access village information through text messaging, making it easier than ever to stay informed.
The Village will officially launch the service on August 3, 2026. Residents may receive an introductory text message from 91896 identifying itself as “Village of Alamance, NC.” Participation is completely optional, and recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Sign Up for Alerts
If you do not receive the introductory message, you can subscribe by:
- Texting ALAMANCE to 91896
- Replying YES to confirm your enrollment
Once subscribed, residents can receive text notifications about:
- Community events
- Important village updates
- Emergency notifications
- Weather alerts
- Additional announcements and services
The Village may introduce additional alert groups in the future using specific keywords. Residents are encouraged to share the types of notifications they would find most valuable.
